Vincent Bruyninckx
piano, keyboards
Belgium
Belgian jazz pianist Vincent Bruyninckx was born in Namur.
He studied classical piano with Véronique Moureaux and jazz with Thierry Smets, Nathalie Loriers and Eric Legnini, and completed his musical curriculum with courses and workshops in musical analysis, composition, chamber music, improvisation… His curiosity and his double education (he also has a degree in physics) led him very early to consider music from various angles, both stylistic and technical (computers, synthesizers…).
A first-call sideman, he can be heard on the Belgian jazz scene, accompanying Fred Delplancq, Phil Abraham, Bruno Castellucci, Benoît Vanderstraeten, Daniel Roméo, Laurent Doumont… His career in Pop music includes a tour with Maurane.
Interested for a long time in contemporary music, he has been an occasional collaborator of the Ensemble Musiques Nouvelles for several years.
Bruyninckx performed in many festivals (Brussels Jazz Marathon, Ars Musica, Francofolies de Spa, Pili-pili, Nam in Jazz, Images Sonores, Les Musiques à Marseille, Rendez-vous de l’Erdre in Nantes, Verbier Festival, Caprices in Crans-Montana, Festival off du North Sea Jazz in The Hague, Izmir European Jazz Festival), as well as in European venues (Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Italy, Switzerland) and beyond (Washington DC, Grand Théâtre de Shanghaï).
He currently teaches jazz at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels as an assistant to Eric Legnini, as well as in the Academies of Brussels, Forest and Nivelles.
