France
Born into a family of musicians, French classical and jazz violinist Charles Castellon began his musical studies at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional (CRR) of Lyon in Isabelle Faussurier-Perrin and Nathalie Geoffray’s the violin classes.
In 2006, he was awarded a First Prize with the jury’s congratulations, and successfully passed a scientific baccalaureate.
He was then admitted to the Haute École de Musique in Genève (Swiss Confederation) in the class of Patrick Genet, and graduated in 2010 with a brilliant Master’s Degree in Interpretation.
Simultaneously, Castellon studied jazz at the CRR of Lyon in Rémi Crambes’ class, as well as flute in Frédéric Berteletti’s class (DEM flute).
Highly appreciated by internationally renowned orchestras with whom he regularly collaborated after his studies (Lyon Opera, Lausanne Chamber Orchestra…), he joined the National Orchestra of Lyon in June 2017.
